Stephanie Padilla
Stephanie Padilla, M.A., Vice President of Human Resources. Stephanie has been working in Human Resources; Training & Employee Development; and Organization Development for nineteen years. Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas Tech University and a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver. Following HR internships with US West (now Quest), the Wyatt Company and Talent Tree, she was employed by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).
During her time at CDOT, Stephanie advanced from an individual contributor to the organization’s Training Manager, running a Training and Organization Development program for 3000 employees across the State of Colorado. While at CDOT, Stephanie participated in all aspects of the training program including needs assessments, design, delivery, and operations. As the organization’s staff authority on training & organization development, she worked closely with Executive Management in implementing several organization-wide initiatives including pay-for-performance, performance management, succession planning, and a massive re-organization of Department structure and related processes. Stephanie also personally trained and coached supervisors and managers in leadership and management skills to support the accomplishment organizational goals. She left CDOT after nine years of employment to start her own company.
Stephanie started her business, True Directions, in 2003. True Directions is a company that specializes in supporting individuals and organizations in removing the obstacles that prevent the realization of their full potential. She is a consultant to local businesses and government agencies, a speaker, a teacher and a coach. The services that she provides include individual consultation and coaching, organization development, strategic planning, performance management, personnel selection, employee development, group facilitation, training design and training delivery.
Mark Maraia was one of Stephanie’s first clients. She has greatly enjoyed contributing to Maraia & Associates, Inc. in a number of different capacities over the years. Mark asked Stephanie to join the Maraia & Associates, Inc. team in January of 2010 in the capacity of Vice President of Human Resources. Stephanie is delighted to be part of such a positive organization that offers tremendous support and guidance to their clients.
