Patti Barnett, Chief Financial Officer. Patti has been Chief Financial Officer for Maraia & Associates, Inc. since 2003. She has also been the Controller of an extremely diversified company for almost 30 years with experience in industries ranging from oil and gas, wine, galleries to ranches. She is responsible for cash budgeting, financial statement preparation, along with a variety of reporting and special projects for over 40 entities.  Some of the entities require very unique and savvy financial attention as well as having complicated partner ownerships. 

Throughout the years she has analyzed and reviewed potential businesses and various industries for management to discuss investment opportunity options.  She creates accounting procedures and oversees the processes for every industry the company invests in. 

Patti is goal-oriented and wants to see results from the suggestions and procedures she creates as well as the work she puts forth in discussing options and training her team to fulfill these goals.

Patti brings over 35 years of accounting experience to her job and is continually learning from her experiences. She attended Metropolitan State College of Denver and also Red Rocks Community College to receive her oil and gas education.  She continues to attend various seminars to continue her education and knowledge.

Patti has lived in Colorado for 30 years, previously lived in Missouri.  In addition to working, Patti enjoys giving high school and college students a realistic financial approach for their futures. She teaches them how to use a checkbook, pay bills, save for the future, learn how to create and live on a budget and also how to feel empowered by making good financial decisions.
