Mark's Books

Mark has written two books on business development:  Rainmaking Made Simple: What Every Professional Must Know and Relationships Are Everything! -Growing Your Business One Relationship At A Time.  Many lawyers, CMO’s and leaders in Am Law 500 firms consider his first book, Rainmaking Made Simple, to be the definitive "how to" field guide on business development. It has sold nearly 14,000 copies worldwide.

The ideas presented in Mark's books have been repeatedly field-tested many times, by thousands of professionals, helping them develop relationship-building skills without compromising integrity or professional status. Mark is also the author of an opt-in electronic newsletter that gets circulated to thousands of devoted readers in over 70 countries.

Keynote Speaking

Mark's intensity and passion for speaking becomes readily apparent within minutes of his opening.  He prefers to disturb the audience enough to spur them to action.  Maraia has been the keynote speaker to dozens of audiences in the U.S., Europe, Canada and Australia. He has worked with a majority of Am Law 500 firms, one of the big four accounting firms, dozens of the largest firms in Canada and a variety of other professional services firms.

As a keynote, Mark combines his highly engaging and interactive speaking style with one or two short breakout sessions where he asks participants to engage in high-energy conversations with each other.  This often creates money making opportunities during his presentations.

Mark's ability to connect with audiences stems in part from his passion for the topic, his near obsessive focus on sharing only practical ideas and his experience in the trenches as a relationship development coach.

He presents all his material in an extremely practical way because of  his own intolerance for concepts. [That's the lawyer in him.]  You'll be able to apply several ideas from his presentations at the break and you'll wonder why you didn't think of his practical ideas yourself.

All of Mark’s presentations are a call to action and challenge each member of the audience to DO SOMETHING TODAY!
