C. Gregory Tiemeier
C. Gregory Tiemeier has been coaching partners and associates in one form or another since he formed his own law firm, Kaluk, Burg & Tiemeier, in 1997.
As marketing partner of Tiemeier & Hensen, P.C. for five years he devoted considerable time and energy to coaching the firm’s associates and junior partners.
When his firm merged with Montgomery, Little, Soran and Murray, P.C. Greg was retained as the firm’s marketing director to coach their key associates and shareholders in business development and has helped them to achieve tangible economic success.
Greg has been a valuable member of the Maraia & Associates, Inc. team since 2006. During that time, he has played a crucial role in the selection and hiring of every new coach added to the Maraia & Associates, Inc. coaching team. He has also served as a trusted advisor to us for more than a decade.
Greg is a highly accomplished speaker who, among other things, has lectured at the University of Denver Sturm School of Law to law students and young lawyers interested in starting or growing their client base.
His career as a trial lawyer began in 1986, and has included medical malpractice, product liability, insurance bad faith, securities fraud and ERISA litigation. As a young associate, Greg built his niche in the marketplace by appearing frequently as a lecturer at national conferences of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. From those frequent speaking opportunities, Greg built an international reputation as a lawyer who understands the legal and business needs of eye surgeons. He went from having only a few contacts whom he considered to be his “ideal client” to having hundreds of eye surgeons who know him and call on him for advice and assistance. In addition, Greg’s trial skills are exemplary. He has been involved with twenty-three jury trials during his career, most of which he’s acted as lead or sole trial counsel. Verdict was entered in favor of his clients in twenty-two of those trials.
From experience as a full-time practicing lawyer, shareholder, and principal in his own firm, Mr. Tiemeier brings real-world experience to his coaching work. Greg has an unabashed passion for coaching that is very apparent to all who work with him. This work experience and passion for coaching makes him intimately familiar with how lawyers think about business development, and what they need to do to balance marketing responsibilities with the demands of practicing law.
On January 1, 2010, Greg joined with two other attorneys to form a new practice, Tiemeier & Stich, P.C., where he continues to work with the younger attorneys to develop their practice areas and client relationships.
